There are specific experiences that most of us can all relate to when it comes to working nine to five days a week. We can all feel like we have to go through the motions at times, and some specific policies and bosses can make us feel like we have no choice but to get through it. Fortunately, there is a way to keep our sanity intact and keep us focused on the task at hand — a steaming hot cup of coffee.
While specific coffee cups are made to be incredibly functional, some workplaces go a step further and design their own gruesome and bizarre creations. An Instagram account called S**te Mugs took the initiative to help spread the word about these types of cups. It features a collection of these cups that have been found at work and have been mercilessly shamed online.
Through the Instagram account, A&D collects some of the most offensive and funny pictures. Kindly upvote and let us know in the comments to share your thoughts on these designs.

A&D was able to contact the creator of the S**te Mugs Instagram account. Although they preferred to remain anonymous, they were kind enough to talk about their project and its inspiration. The account started in March 2019 to poke fun at the ridiculous cup designs found at work. Since then, they have been able to share countless photos of these cups and have gained a following of like-minded individuals.
According to the creator, one of the main inspirations behind the S**te Mugs Instagram account was to poke fun at how people spend their time at work. They said they often find themselves in the kitchen looking for a suitable mug, but they can’t find one that fits their needs. The cup they came up with was a Peter Andre mug, which looked incredibly ugly.

Despite the changes the product design industry has undergone over the years, we still tend to get used to well-thought-out ideas. It’s also common for companies and designers to spend a lot of time and money trying to create the perfect product. Unfortunately, even though these products were designed to meet a specific need, they often miss the mark.
The creator of the S**te Mugs Instagram account was disgusted by the various hideous cup designs in their workplace. They then started to wonder where these creations came from. They also started to notice the other ugly and misleading products they found in their kitchen.

To determine their worst cup designs, the creator had to categorize them into one of the following groups: cups that allude to how “fun” people are when out and about. For example, a person looking for a glass of wine might use the phrase “Gym?” to describe their experience.
Another common category the creator found incredibly offensive is the cup that says there is excitement in the air, and your life is full of unquenchable excitement. This type of cup often states that someone is listening to you, but they are playing golf in their head. Some of the most offensive instances of this type of cup design include the phrases “Is it Friday yet?” and “Why is Monday so close to Friday?”. The S**te Mugs Instagram account’s creator also noted that these products remind us that we are all drones and the week is a collective joke.

The creator noted that these types of products represent the futility of many jobs. They also stated that they found them in their workplace, a beige kitchen with various side plates and knives. They added that they had a good laugh across these ugly and misleading products.
The blog creator noted that it had gained a following among like-minded individuals. They love receiving feedback from their followers. They also said that the odd and hackneyed submissions had riled them.

The creator believes that the most significant thing about a lousy mug is that it offers a glimpse into the soul. According to them, their fondness for them goes beyond anything objective, making them feel like they’re being protected. It can be comforting to have one on your side as you work through the tedious monotony of life, or it can make you feel safe and secure as you carry it around.
Although I’m anonymous, I can share that I once received an incredibly passive-aggressive email from an employee. It asked all staff members to return all their drinks and utensils, which included several personal items, as soon as possible. The creator, offended by the subject, said that the rituals and politics evoked by these emails are sublime.
This list is full of pictures that are sure to make you laugh, and it’s also entertaining. If you have a mug that you would like to share, please send it to the creator of “S**te Mugs,” and who knows, it might even get featured on the site.
