The Guaec Residence is a beautiful beach house designed by Belluzzo Martinhao Arquitetos to accommodate two families. It features seven suites, two of which are master suites. The challenge of the project was to create a program that would accommodate families and guests in a 400 m² area.
The loft-style double-height ceilings of the living and dining rooms create a visual connection between the spaces. This concept was designed to enhance the overall appearance of the house and provide natural light. The various areas of the house, such as the swimming pool, are organized on the ground floor and the suites on the upper level. The second floor features a variety of activities, such as a fire pit, a spa, and a large outdoor area with a view of the sea and mountains.
The building’s environmental comfort and preservation were two of the most critical factors that were considered when it came to designing the project. The metal casings on both floors provide heavy rain and sun protection, and the various features allow for cross ventilation and privacy.
As for materials, aluminum sheets in a cortén color, which are resistant to the sea breeze, and the wooden and stone ceiling, which adds a tropical touch to the architecture.
