Love is not as people think; it can be shown only with extraordinary gestures and grand that the world can see. Arguably, it’s the intimate moments shared between two hearts, ‘true’ love exists in the seemingly mundane and small things. French-American artist Pascal Campion based in Burbank, California, is acutely aware of this fact and has crafted heartwarming and soulful illustrations that brilliantly capture those heartwarming moments about everyday life.
Campion’s artworks beautifully capture the importance and vitality of small things. His wife of 14 years, 13-year-old daughter, and 10-year-old twin boys inspires him. His illustrations look beautiful and make us stop, look around us, and convince us to contemplate what matters the most.
Champion says, “The tiny moments from pausing to catch a ray of sunshine, holding hands in a crowded place or drinking a warm cup of coffee on a rainy night and reading a book is just as significant as the other big ones.”
Champion describes the style of his illustrations as spontaneous and messy in execution but comprehensible in communication.
