This private residence, designed by J. Mayer H. Architects in Ludwigsburg, Germany, is a beautiful example of how the combination of materials and different shapes makes a project unique and exciting.
Since the geometry of the building is based on the footprint of the previous house. Dupli Casa was initially built in 1984, making the main structure’s extraordinary design blend harmoniously with the other functional extensions.
Original shapes and white facade makes the home look so futuristic. Wooden floors and concrete walls perform a sophisticated connection between natural and artificial, inside and outside, and the modern and old. Duplication and rotation of the new building echo the “family archaeology.”
The house has three levels; the panoramic windows offer spectacular views of the German national literature archive and the old town of Marbach.
